Key Milestones in Our Journey

1899

Foundation of the Women’s Wentworth Historical Society

The Women’s Wentworth Historical Society was established to preserve the local history of Hamilton, Ontario, and promote community engagement with our heritage.

1950

Beginning of Preservation Initiatives

Our members started important projects to archive and protect historical documents, photographs, and artifacts from Hamilton, laying the foundation for future conservation efforts.

1985

Launch of Community Outreach Programs

In an effort to educate the public about Hamilton's rich history, we initiated community events, school programs, and lectures that celebrate local culture.

2022

Introduction of Online Archives

Embracing digital technology, the Society launched an online archive that provides access to Hamilton’s historical resources for researchers and the wider community.

Growing Our Membership and Initiatives
